PoetHouse is unique – A place where young artists are being given the chance like no where else in Central Oregon to ‘pay forward’ their gifts; empowering creativity and changing the lives of those that choose to experience the PoetHouse environment of learning.

 

A poet is someone who collects thoughts and ideas, feelings and experiences, and then expresses themselves in such a way that brings about change in the hearts and minds of those who discover the poem. The PoetHouse seeks to be like a poet, in that the thoughts, ideas, feelings and experiences of the individuals who make up its collective are shared in such a way that those who discover their art will be changed.

We exist to help people discover their artistic gifts and celebrate that which is created. We generate creativity and introduce new forms of art to the community by providing a space for artists of all ages to develop and exhibit their artwork. By fostering an artistic community, we recognize that we are influencing the greater community in a vital way.

PoetHouse Art is a community art space featuring local artist of all mediums. It is an exhibit space, meeting place, community and workshop space, that welcomes all regardless of experience level, ability, or income.
